In-Line Balanced Pressure Proportioner

EMACO identifies the In-Line Balanced Pressure Proportioner as a foam-metering assembly used where concentrate pressure from a pump must be balanced to system water pressure for fire-protection installations. Select size from the minimum and maximum solution flow, concentrate type, induction percentage and available water pressure. Install with a compatible foam pump, concentrate return or regulating arrangement, sensing lines, isolation and test connections shown on the approved schematic. The unit regulates the higher concentrate pressure to follow the lower water pressure before metering the required percentage into the main stream. EMACO lists sizes from 65 mm to 200 mm with published flow ranges for AFFF 3 percent and AR-AFFF 3 by 3 percent. Procurement needs more than a catalogue title: record the exact model, approval, materials, rating, connection and supplied accessories. Site work, commissioning and periodic maintenance must follow the approved system design and data sheet.
