Power & Transformer Fire Protection

Transformer bays require coordinated detection, electrical isolation and hazard-specific suppression. Water spray may be used for suitable transformer and exposure hazards when supported by the approved hydraulic and electrical design. Clean-agent protection is considered separately for suitable enclosed control or technical rooms; it is not a substitute for transformer-oil fire protection. Confirm drainage, equipment clearances and system interfaces with the project engineer.
